Sebbhorreic Dermatitis is characterized by thick, crusty patches covering red splotches on the scalp. It usually doesn't get much farther than that. It starts in your scalp and can move down to beards and ear canals - any place that is kept warm and moist, by hair or structure. Some say it's an allergic reaction, since corticosteroids seem to help (DermOtic is a corticosteroid). It doesn't seem to be connected, but Sebbhorreic Dermatitis is a skin reaction to a fungus that usually lives without problem on human skin. Do you also have bad dandruff? If so, I would have you all tested for Sebbhorreic Dermatitis. So, a few have mentioned this before, but not recently.
